New York City?s Carbone introduced the The Big Apple vibe to Las Vegas as Major Food Group showcased its first West Coast endeavor at Las Vegas? ARIA Resort & Casino. Celebrating its grand opening, Thursday, October 29, Carbone Vegas hosted a memorable party using its signature Italian-American cuisine and famous showmanship.
Major Food Group Partners Mario Carbone and Shaun Zalaznick, together with Head Captain Louie Carbone and Carbone Executive Chef Jonah Resnick, welcomed Vegas VIPs and culinary influencers with Carbone?s flourishing mid-20th-century energy. Through the evening, Carbone Captains treated visitors to indulgent Carbone hors d’oeuvres including Mario?s signature meatballs, Octopus Pizzaiolo, Prosciutto-Wrapped Fig, American Caviar with Ricotta, and White Truffle Arancini. Carbone?s takes on classic cocktails also were offered, including its Mai Tai, Daiquiri and Whiskey Sour.
Star designer Ken Fulk revealed his first Vegas project boasting a sensational atmosphere in the extravagant and exclusive Red Room, featuring a sixties Venini chandelier; to the striking Blue Room where visitors celebrated and reveled within the stunning d?cor and pieces of art from famous artists such as Julian Schnabel and Richard Serra.
More than 200 guests from the Las Vegas culinary community joined for the event, including Bobby and Audra Baldwin, Bill Grounds, Larry and Camille Ruvo, Nick McCabe, Michael Shulman, Kevin and Terri Janison, Tom Kaplan, Francesco Lafranconi, Alex Day, David Kaplan, Tori Klein, Jolene Mannina, Beth Barbre and more.
In honor of Chef Carbone?s love for cigars, guests were treated to hand-rolled cigars made in the private dining room by a master cigar roller.
Carbone is now open at ARIA Resort & Casino Monday through Saturday from 5 p.m. ? 10:30 p.m.
