Continuing its commitment to enhancing its casino offerings, the Plaza Hotel & Casino provides guests with more gaming options than ever before, including the launch of Keno next month, a wide variety of slot machines with some of the highest payouts in the city and new hi-tech roulette tables. As a result, the popular downtown property is experiencing record growth.
Since the property began revamping its casino operations and hotel amenities in 2015, the Plaza has seen its gaming revenue and hotel occupancy levels surge. It consistently outperforms the impressive win increases of downtown Las Vegas, a submarket that continues to lead the state’s growth trends. While downtown gaming revenue increased 18.2 percent in the first quarter of 2017, the Plaza saw an increase of 25.6 percent during the same period.
“Over the past few years, the Plaza has redesigned and upgraded its casino floor to be more competitive and favorable to players, making it the place to play downtown,” said Jonathan Jossel, CEO of the Plaza. “We have something for everyone on a fun and exciting casino floor with some of the highest payouts in the city, and our customers are really enjoying the improvements.”
In June, the Plaza will open its Keno lounge on the casino floor. Games will run every 5-8 minutes from 8 a.m. to midnight daily. The Plaza will also offer MegaKeno and Mega 10 Keno giving players access to statewide progressives with higher jackpots and possible payouts in the millions.
“Given the Plaza’s long and successful history of offering the only bingo room in downtown Las Vegas, adding Keno made perfect sense,” added Jossel.
Keno monitors with live games will be located throughout the casino floor, including at the new Brightside – Breakfast & Burgers restaurant, the Race & Sports Book bar, Omaha Lounge, Hash House A Go Go, and inside the Bingo room on the third floor. Members of the Plaza’s Royal Rewards Players Club can earn points for Keno play.
Three new, state-of-the-art roulette tables by TCSJOHNHUXLEY further enhance the excitement on the casino floor. Only available in Las Vegas at the Plaza, the new roulette tables instantly stand out as they feature the latest LED gaming surface technology enabling the table to vibrantly light up the winning numbers, colors, even or odd and winning section, increasing the excitement for seasoned and inexperienced players alike.
Reversing the industry trend, the Plaza recently added nearly 200 slot machines, including some of the industry’s latest technology, two dozen classic coin machines and upgraded video poker cabinets and paytables. Most recently, the Plaza debuted the oversized Oscar’s Slot Machine, a colossal diamonds game from AGS located near Oscar’s, the famous steakhouse housed inside the Plaza’s landmark glass dome and named for former mob attorney turned Las Vegas Mayor, Oscar Goodman.
