Ay Dios Mio! Mercadito remembers its first anniversary this summer time with new, special edition menu products specifically created for the happy occasion. Beginning on Friday, July 24 or National Tequila Day, Mercadito will introduce a brand new taco and new cocktail to celebrate one year of getting their signature “sex-mex” tastes to the folks of Vegas. Fans from the Mexican hot-spot have to celebrate fast, the anniversary party only lasts through August. 31.
Produced by Executive Chef Juan Puentes, a scrumptious new taco makes its way to the Mercadito menu for that celebration. The Surf & Turf taco (rib-eye, tempura lemon shrimp, asparagus/cauliflower chipotle hash) combines two of the most popular Mercadito tacos with a fresh, summer time spin. Visitors can also enjoy with their favorite libation or pair using the anniversary cocktail, the Old Fashioned Mercadito (muddled orange, filthy cherries, angostura bitters and Mercadito?s Herradura Double Barrel Reposado Tequila). Created by Hayes Swope, general manager at Mercadito Las Vegas, the Old Fashioned Mercadito consists of a tequila specifically produced for Mercadito – a dual barrel Reposado from Herradura aged in 2 different oak barrels, 10 months in bourbon barrels and one month inside a new oak barrel. Visitors can savor the Surf & Turf tacos for $4 per taco and also the Old Fashioned Mercadito for $10 or mix the anniversary tastes for $16 for that cocktail and 2 tacos.
In recognition of National Tequila Day, Mercadito also provides visitors one free shot of tequila ($10 or under) with a purchase of the margarita on Friday, July 24. Limit one per customer.
Mercadito is open 7 days per week. Dinner and late-evening dining: Mondays 3 – 10 p.m. Tuesdays – Thursdays 3 p.m. to 11pm Fridays 3 p.m. – midnight; Saturdays 11 a.m. – midnight and Sundays 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. Mercadito brunch services are 11a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Mercadito also provides two daily Happy Hours 3 to 6 p.m. daily and 8 – 10 p.m. Sunday and Monday; 9 – 11 p.m. Tuesday – Thursday and 10 p.m. – midnight Friday and Saturday. Mercadito is situated at Red Rock Resort at 11011 W. Charleston Blvd.
Mercadito offers a number of special promotions including: all-you-can-eat tacos for $24 every Sunday and Monday, 15 % off for military people all day long Monday, 30% off drinks and food for industry visitors on Takeover Tuesdays, and also the ultimate ladies evening, Chicas Evening Out, every Thursday evening.
