Sin City Brewing Co. Brings A Grand Cru To The Las Vegas Strip

Las Vegas Brewing Co. has tapped the latest beer around the Vegas Strip, the Sin City Grand Cru. Included in the brewery’s series of greater alcohol seasonals, the Grand Cru is really a strong Witbier to enhance the hot summer months. The muse for Sin City’s first Belgian-style beer originates from Master Brewer Richard Johnson’s backpacking days through Europe, looking for all of the unique ales he could taste and finding the incredibly complex Belgian brewing landscape.

“Summer is time for you to awesome lower having a refreshing wheat beer,” stated Johnson. “The Grand Cru’s balanced flavor profile isn’t too hoppy, includes a caramel sweetness and it is capped served by notes of orange zest and coriander.”

The word “Grand Cru” initially has its own roots in wine, meaning a winery noted for creating exemplary wines. In brewing, a Grand Cru designates a premium beer created in a limited volume, usually an intricate form of an earlier recipe. Sin City’s rendition has greater alcohol content than the usual standard Witbier, coming in at 8 percent ABV along with a modest hop profile of 25 IBU. The Grand Cru has become available throughout August at Sin City’s location on Las Vegas Boulevard at Harmon Corner and it is coming in a few days in the Grand Canal Shoppes in the Venetian.
