The antic-filled web series Gazillionaire, which narrates the origins of the critically-acclaimed production ABSINTHE at Caesars Palace, was named ?Best Web Video? in the 2015 Vegas Digital Media Awards on December 10 at The Venue in Downtown Vegas. The annual event recognizes Las Vegas? very best in digital media across several multi-media platforms. The 10-episode web series, shot by Lightforge Studios and starring The Gazillionaire and the former personal assistant Penny Pibbets, celebrated its launch on YouTube with a booze-filled celebration at Sapphire Gentleman?s Club in September of 2014.
“What is the Gazillionaire web series? What is a web series? Sounds stupid and a waste of time and not a real thing,? said The Gazillionaire. ?My assistant, Joy, just told me I paid for the whole thing?what wonderful news. I wouldn?t doubt it was theonly web series in Vegas, so this award is absolute crap!”
The web series? antics begin when, just 5 days before ABSINTHE?s star-studded grand opening, The Gazillionaire discovers that actor Neil Patrick Harris has declined to be the production?s nightly host. Featuring cameos by Vegas celebs for example Robin Leach, The Amazing Johnathan, Tony Hsieh and much more, the web series highlights the greatest and lowest parts of Vegas while recording the production?s anything-but-humble origins.
“Oh my gosh! I am so excited to win something which proves my mom was wrong about me,? Pibbets gushed upon hearing the news. ?I’d like to thank my grandma and my dog for sticking with me through all the hard times. I’d like to thank unicorns, in general. I’d like to thank The Gazillionaire who is the most important person in my life who I would kill for. Literally, I would do it?he’s my best friend forever.”
The high-energy antics and outlandish acts of ABSINTHE continue to be seen onstage nightly inside the Spiegeltent at Caesars Palace.
