UNLVino Elevates Vegas’ Famed Wine Weekend Featuring Celebrity Chefs And Entertainers

Celebrating more than 40 years of hospitality excellence, UNLVino invites guests to “take a sip for scholarship” April 16 through 18, 2015. Three evenings of events – including Bubble-Licious, Sake Fever and the Grand Tasting – will continue Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada’s mission to rally the Las Vegas community in support of UNLV’s William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration.

Complementing the exquisite wines, innovative mixology and world-class cuisine UNLVino is known for, this year’s events will feature elevated entertainment, including renowned musicians Frankie Moreno and Franks & Deans. UNLVino will also continue its tradition of recognizing hospitality industry leaders with the Dom P?rignon Award of Excellence. The 2015 honorees include culinary icon Daniel Boulud and the “Godfather of Italian-American cooking” Chef Steve Martorano, as well as UNLV’s Presidential Advisor for Strategic Initiatives, Don Snyder.

UNLVino’s celebration of fine libations and delicious fare will span across the Las Vegas Valley for three fabulous evenings, including:

? Bubble-Licious at The Venetian Las Vegas’ Doge’s Palace Plaza – Thursday, April 16: 7-10 p.m.
To kick off the festivities, UNLVino will uncork a variety of champagnes and sparkling wines at Bubble-Licious under the stars at The Venetian Las Vegas’? Doge’s Palace Plaza. A fan-favorite event, Bubble-Licious guests will enjoy small plates from The Venetian and Palazzo’s outstanding collection of restaurants, as well as James Beard Award-winning Chef Daniel Boulud, who will be honored with the Dom P?rignon Award of Excellence. Tickets are $125 in advance; $150 at the door

? Sake Fever at Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa – Friday, April 17: 7-10 p.m.
East meets West as UNLVino brings back the beloved Sake Fever to Red Rock’s scenic pool. The evening will showcase a variety of sakes, Japanese spirits and cocktails, plus cuisine from some of the city’s top restaurants. Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada’s Master Mixologists Francesco Lafranconi and J.R. Starkus will craft inventive libations and UNLV’s Don Snyder will be recognized for his leadership at the university and in the community. Franks & Deans, the world’s first rock ‘n’ roll Rat Pack tribute band, will energize the crowd with a live performance. Tickets are $100 in advance; $125 at the door

? The Grand Tasting at Paris Las Vegas – Saturday, April 18: 7-10 p.m.
Returning to Paris Las Vegas’ ballroom, UNLVino’s time-honored Grand Tasting will delight guests with an unrivaled collection of premium beverages and a fresh entertainment lineup, including a performance by famed modern jazz musician, Frankie Moreno. Chef Steve Martorano will be honored for his culinary accomplishments and bold Italian-American restaurant style, as the weekend’s main event indulges guests with delectable cuisine from UNLV’s culinary students and celebrated Vegas restaurants. Tickets are $125 in advance; $150 at the door
