Centaur Art Gallery In Las Vegas Presents ‘Primer: Art of Weaponry’ Photography Exhibition By Jon Rouse

Las Vegas-based fine art photographer Jon Rouse will premiere his collection “PRIMER: Art of Weaponry”, a study of power vs. beauty, to the public for the first time since its recent Hollywood film debut in box office hit John Wick 2. The ultra-high-resolution modern art collection of rare firearms, ammunitions and explosives opens a new dimension of creativity on the Fine Art spectrum by showcasing unorthodox subject matter that is photographically-translated into a visually-stunning opus.

Through the scope of Rouse’s artistic lens comes an explosive visual representation of our relationship with weapons and their divisive place in American culture. On Saturday, April 22nd, Vegas VIPs and fine art collectors from around the globe will experience the PRIMER series’ grand unveiling while enjoying champagne & Hors d’ oeuvres in a private invitation-only event with featured artist Jon Rouse. The vibrant, curated collection of bold weaponry works will debut among fine art masterpieces in Centaur Art Gallery, alongside authentic Picasso, Salvador Dali, and Rembrandt pieces, creating a juxtaposition in contemporary and classic works.

Priced from $4,000 to $38,500, each piece in the PRIMER exhibition contains trillions of bytes of resolution and takes hundreds of hours to complete, making each piece limited-edition. Backstories provide deeper meaning that bring uniqueness and direction both conceptually and creatively, like the American flag wrapped around USA Apple Grenade ($38,500, 49″ x 60) was one given to the family of a fallen soldier; the genuine rose petal texture in the Smith & Wesson & Roses ($34,500, 86″ x 60″) piece was photographed on-site at the Santa Barbara Rose Garden; rare Japanese silks were used to provide visual textures and out-of-focus points of light on the HK Bokeh ($24,500, 60″ x 60″). There will be approximately 18 pieces on display, allowing Rouse’s digital photographic creations to paint a picture of his overall vision.

Jon Rouse continues to be a favorite among Fine Art followers looking for one-of-a-kind artistic and technological craftsmanship that only a Rouse piece can deliver. With a focus on detail and contemporary, bold designs, Jon Rouse’s unique style has lead him to photograph celebrities including Michael Jackson, Cindi Crawford and John Legend, as well as celebrity Chefs Gordon Ramsey, Kerry Simon and Wolfgang Puck. As a world-renowned photographer, Jon has photographed in more than 80 countries and his photographs have appeared in hundreds of magazines including Architectural Digest and Vogue.

Art collectors and enthusiasts can enjoy the PRIMER exhibition at Centaur Art Gallery, located just south of the Rio All-Suite Las Vegas Hotel and Casinoat 4345 Dean Martin Dr. Suite 200. PRIMER will be available to view Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
